Presently, I am the Executive Director of The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative in Charlottesville, Virginia. There I am working to situate art and artists as catalysts for community engagement and change. Before that I was pursuing a PhD at the CUNY Graduate Center in Environmental Psychology, focusing on the way the technology enhances our understanding of place. I was also a Digital Fellow, working with Matt Gold. Before that I had the opportunity to teach both in the Urban Studies and Communications at two colleges in New York. Previous to that I was an academic technologist at Vassar College. But enough of the boring stuff. What I'm really interested in is the connection that binds people and place together. How does one imprint on the other and vice versa. This has lead me to make a series of art projects that use a variety of media to confuse and expand upon the complexity of place.
