I've been a librarian for 15 years, primarily with a cataloging/tech services background, some systems administration (I've dabbled in SQL). I have extremely limited coding skills, but I LOVED the 3-days-of-workshop-jammed-into-one XML/TEI intro at DHOXSS given by Lou Burnard. It was thrilling and I hope to get into lots more of the same in DH. I love the concept of network analysis -- I think that's my favorite facet of DH so far and hope to explore more of that in relation to 18th-19th c English lit. (I'm currently pursuing a second Master's in English, love the Burney era and am fascinated by the concept of writers' influence on each other). I used to work at Stanford Law, don't regret for a moment leaving it for Sweet Briar, and I can turn my feet around backwards. :) I'm an introvert but in a small group I sometimes can't shut up.
