As an undergraduate, I wrote term papers on William Gibson and "Ghost in the Shell," in addition to several short stories depicting a singularity event as either a Gnostic eruption or planetary psychosis.
I'm interested, among other things, in measuring the effects of the (contestable) fact of technological ubiquity on literary realism, especially regarding the sometimes graceless ways that social media inevitably asserts itself in contemporary fiction.
I still believe that beneath it all, we're living in a Cormac McCarthy novel.
