I graduated from the University of Georgia with an AB in English in Spanish, as well as a minor in Film Studies. As a Master's student at the University of Virginia, I am focusing on American literature, textual studies and digital humanities. I first began learning about DH as a research assistant to Alison Booth on her digital prosopography, Collective Biographies of Women. I have done similar work with Documents Compass for their project People of the Founding Era--also a digital prosopography. I am particularly interested in the intersection of digital and textual work, such as constructing digital archives or editions, and will be creating a digital edition myself for my MA thesis. My research interests include American book history and 19th-century American prose.
